Barna Lovers, located at Carrer de Còrsega 199, 2-1, 08036 Barcelona (Spain) and operating under the business name Barna Lovers, attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. We respect your privacy and ensure that your personal data is processed confidentially and in accordance with applicable Belgian and European legislation (GDPR/AVG).

  • with whom we share it;

  • what rights you have with regard to your personal data.

By using our services and/or our website www.barnalovers.be, you declare that you have taken note of this privacy policy. By sending a request by e-mail, via the online booking form or any other form of communication, the customer expressly gives Barna Lovers permission to store and use personal data from the request to maintain the commercial relationship.

The data controller for your personal data is Barna Lovers.

3. What personal data do we collect?

Depending on your interaction with us, we may process the following data:

  • Identification data: surname and first name, age, gender;

  • Contact details: email address, telephone number, address;

  • Booking details: date of the tour, number of people, specific wishes or comments;

  • Payment details: for invoicing and administrative purposes only;

  • Communication details: messages you send us via email or forms;

  • Visual material: photos and/or videos taken during tours or other activities.

4. Purposes of processing

We process your personal data exclusively for legitimate purposes:

  • Execution of the agreement – To register, execute and follow up on your booking.

  • Customer management – To contact you about your booking or questions.

  • Marketing and communication – To keep you informed about our services, offers, news and events.

  • Legal obligations – To comply with administrative and tax obligations.

  • Visual material – During tours, activities or events, visual material (photos, videos, etc.) may be created for use in communication tools, marketing campaigns, social media and promotional material of Barna Lovers and collaborating partners.

5. Visual material

During our tours, activities or events, Barna Lovers may take photographs, videos and other forms of visual material in which participants are recognisable. These images may be used for:

  • Publication on our website and social media channels;

  • Printed matter, brochures and presentations;

  • Marketing campaigns and promotional material;

  • Communication in collaboration with suppliers and partners.

If you do not wish to be recognisable in images and/or for these images to be used, you must explicitly notify us in writing by email to dieter@barnalovers.be before the start of the activity. We will then ensure that you are not recognisable in the images.

6. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of:

  • Your consent (e.g. when subscribing to our newsletter)

  • The performance of a contract (your booking or reservation)

  • Our legal obligations

  • Our legitimate interest (e.g. marketing, customer relationship management, promotion of our services)

7. Retention period

We do not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Customer and booking data: up to 5 years after the last activity

  • Invoicing data: in accordance with the legal retention obligation (7 years in Belgium)

  • Visual material: up to 10 years, unless you request deletion earlier

8. Sharing data with third parties

Your data will not be sold or passed on to third parties, except:

  • To service providers working on our behalf or with us (e.g. booking systems, email platforms, marketing services, suppliers, local partners, collaborations, etc.);

  • To tourism partners if this is necessary for the execution of your booking (e.g. bicycle rental companies, local guides);

  • When we are legally obliged to provide data.

  • We enter into a processing agreement with these third parties to guarantee the security and confidentiality of your data.

9. Security of your data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data;

  • rectify (correct) inaccurate data;

  • erase your data (‘right to be forgotten’);

  • restriction of processing;

  • transfer of your data (data portability);

  • objection to processing based on legitimate interest.

You can exercise your rights by sending us a written request by e-mail to dieter@barnalovers.be. We will respond within the statutory period of 30 days.

11. Complaints

If you believe that we are processing your data unlawfully, please first contact Barna Lovers in writing by sending an email to dieter@barnalovers.be. If no mutual agreement is reached, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority:
